There is a natural reduction in skin elasticity and collagen associated with ageing. Skin Booster, like Hydro and Hydromax, can help combat this. They are gels produced by Vivacy consisting of cross linked hyaluronic acid, free hyaluronic acid and sorbitol. They penetrate the dermis and stimulate collagen and elastin production, cell regeneration and restores skin integrity, as well as replenishing lost hydration. They can also provide subtle support in addition to improving skin quality, resulting in fresher and plumper skin.
Hydro and HydroMax can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Additionally, the skin boosters could be utilised in the lips and perioral area to pull out fine lines, provide a hydration boost and a subtle plumpness.
Your clinician will discuss your treatment aims and likely results during the consultation. Medical grade prescription numbing cream will be applied and the injections will be administered to the target area, and you will be counselled regarding the aftercare.
Results should be at their best around 4 weeks after treatment, and can last up to 6 months. Your clinician will advise the best treatment plan tailored to your needs, but it is often 3x hydro sessions or 2x HydroMax or a combination of both products, all 3-4 weeks apart.
Prior to the appointment, you should not drink alcoholic or caffeinated beverages for at least 24 hours, and to stop applying tretinoin for at least 48 hours. You should avoid medications which can increase your risk of bleeding, like NSAIDs or aspirin, unless advised by your doctor in
which case you should discuss with your practitioner.
